Key Responsibilities of the Mental Health Coordinator:

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the mental health needs of individuals in our community. Evaluate and monitor their progress regularly.
• Coordinate with mental health professionals, social workers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals in need.
• Develop and implement mental health programs and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the community, including support groups, educational workshops, and therapy sessions.
• Provide immediate support and intervention during mental health crises. Collaborate with emergency services and crisis intervention teams when necessary.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with mental health issues within the community and liaise with relevant stakeholders to address systemic barriers.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and progress reports. Generate comprehensive reports on program outcomes and effectiveness.
• Conduct training sessions for staff, volunteers, and community members to increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues and effective intervention strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in the field of mental health. Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Applicant Requirements of the Mental Health Coordinator:

• BLS Certification
• Must have one of the following: LPC, LCSW or a LMFT
• 5 years Clinical and 2 years of Mental Health Coordinator experience required
