POSITION: CUSTODIAL WAREHOUSE STUDENT WORKER
DIRECT REPORT: CUSTODIAL WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR/DIRECTOR OF CUSTODIAL SERVICES
DAILY WORK AREA: CUSTODIAL WAREHOUSE

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Valid driver’s license w/ good driving history

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
1. General housekeeping experience
2. Able to back up a trailer or learn in a week’s time
3. Computer and typing skills
4. Basic mechanical knowledge for repairing/maintaining equipment

OVERVIEW:
This position must be accountable to the Director of Custodial Services/Custodial Warehouse Coordinator
for maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment by keeping it neat and orderly using the
methods specified in the training manual. This position requires driving an RTV/golfcart with attached
trailer across campus for many of the job tasks, to include trash pick-up and deliveries of supplies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position demands good physical and mental aptitude. The warehouse student worker will be required
to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, and pull. He/she must be able to move continuously during work hours,
including the use of stairs, and must be able to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds. Also, must be willing to
work in most weather conditions.

DUTIES AND OTHER JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES:
● Operate and maintain various machines such as vacuums, floor machines, washers and dryers,
etc.
● Keep warehouse stocked and cleaned daily, while following a check-off sheet to complete
warehouse daily tasks.
● Emptying trash receptacles and removing waste from centralized locations across campus.
● Assemble supply orders and deliver to various closets on campus, while maintaining an
accurate inventory count.
● Computer data entry to maintain inventory count and input work requests for any needed
repairs.
● Work with various chemicals and follow all instructions for proper and safe use of chemicals
(Chemical safety and use of chemicals will be included in the student worker’s on-board
training)
● Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
● Perform additional work as deemed necessary by management.
● Be willing to work as a team player maintaining a friendly disposition at all times.
