We're on the hunt for a seasoned construction superintendent to lead our project management efforts. Your primary role will be overseeing our team and ensuring timely project completion. This involves managing budgets effectively, as well as maintaining open communication with construction workers, architects, and engineers.
To excel in this position, you'll need top-notch organizational skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a solid background in the field. Here's what you'll be tackling:
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements.
  • Establish performance objectives and deadlines.
  • Strategize construction processes and estimate costs to keep projects within budget.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to staff for optimal performance.
  • Keep tabs on project progress and provide regular reports.
  • Coordinate inspections and obtain necessary construction permits.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards on-site.
  • Procure equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Manage inventory and orders for construction materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization at the job site.
  • Address on-site issues and emergencies promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and address punch list items.
  • Conduct final walk-through with clients.
  • Obtain signed completion and satisfaction certificates from clients.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings with clients.
  • Keep clients updated on project status with daily narratives.
  • Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Ensure all work adheres to plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Document project activities thoroughly.
  • Manage change orders effectively.
  • Establish project expectations tailored to each endeavor.
  • Conduct quality inspections regularly.
  • Evaluate vendors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities.
  • Verify material deliveries match orders.
  • Ensure subcontractors fulfill their obligations.
  • Validate project schedule and progress.
  • Identify and address any work beyond contracted scope.
  • Possess proficiency in all Construction Coordinator roles and responsibilities.
