Job Title: BILINGUAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Job Summary:

Servicios de La Raza (SDLR) provides culturally responsive, essential human services and opportunities. The behavioral health department is an integral component of SDLR, offering behavioral health services to clients from diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. The BH Therapist has the overall responsibility of providing clinical and agency services.

Job Status: Full-Time

Division: BH – Behavioral Health

Location: 200 S. Sheridan St., Denver, CO 80226

Reports to: BH Program Directors & Managers

Duties and Responsibilities: General

  • Provide individual, couples and family therapy services
  • Facilitate groups at the main location, BH location and other off-site designated locations
  • Responsible for all face-to-face assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
  • Perform timely treatment planning, treatment plan reviews and implementation of clinical interventions for the treatment of mental health issues and substance use
  • Maintain timely and detailed clinical records of all client interactions and other documentation in accordance with best practices and following HIPAA, OBH, and state regulations
  • Educate client on issues that are relevant to mental health and substance use
  • Refer clients out for additional appropriate services and/or psychological evaluation if deemed necessary
  • Complete timely session documentation and enter client encounters in the data-tracking system
  • Complete data entry of service encounters as well as other reports to program director monthly
  • Provide culturally responsive interventions and treatments
  • Ensure that discharge planning is executed properly
  • Complete all necessary client documentation and paperwork according to SDLR standards
  • Meet billable services standards according to SDLR
  • Provide case management services to clients, as needed
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with other behavioral health
  • Attend networking meetings and connect with businesses, service agencies, and community organizations to form partnerships to provide resources for clients
  • Attend all staff training, in-service trainings, conferences, and development meetings as assigned by supervisor
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings, supervisory sessions, and special events
  • All members of the SDLR workforce are expected to support the agency’s community outreach, engagement, and recruitment efforts.
  • All members of the SDLR workforce are expected to support the agency’s fundraising objectives. Tasks might include activities like active fundraising, grant development, solicitation of donations, agency ambassadorship, and informational outreach, and public speaking.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Fluid competence in Spanish is required 
  • Commitment to and experience with equity, cultural relevance, diversity, social justice, and disparity reduction practices with persons of color, agencies of color, and underserved communities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, agency partners, and the public
  • Knowledge of behavioral health treatment interventions and resources
  • Cultural relevance and/or sensitivity to populations served
  • Computer literate, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Ability to be flexible with work hours to include evenings and weekends.

Required Education and Credentialing:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

  • 115-Employee workforce across multiple regional offices.
