Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Dog Trainer at our facility in Rochester, NY. The Dog Trainer will be responsible for training service dogs in various tasks and behaviors. Daily tasks may include conducting training sessions, assessing and evaluating dog behavior, and providing guidance to clients on handling and care techniques for the service dogs. Additionally, the Dog Trainer will need to maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required! We will train you!)

• Dog Training and Animal Behavior skills
• Ability to work with kids and individuals with varying disabilities
• Experience in training and working with dogs
• Knowledge of pet care and handling techniques
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate dog behavior
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience and understanding of different client needs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30,520.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 5 – 35 per week
