Service Credit Union is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist who will be responsible for creating and managing a variety of external and internal communications at the credit union. This role primarily oversees management of the employee intranet, and is responsible for streamlining the credit union’s internal communications strategy across departments and channels, including email, newsletters, chat and the intranet.

Staring Salary: Pay: $62,650, flexible based on experience.

Hours: Full time, Monday Friday, 8:30 5:00

Work location: Portsmouth, NH. Hybrid schedule available.

The Day to Day:

• Work with content manager to develop internal communications strategy that reflects the mission and vision of the organization, with an emphasis on clearly and effectively communicating the credit union’s goals and how we are achieving them as a unified group.
• Serve as primary owner of employee intranet ("The Hub"), responsible for creating and editing content, and liaising with vendor for management and upkeep.
• Work with stakeholders across the credit union to identify and distribute all-employee communications.
• Work with CEO to manage employee town hall process, as well as create all-employee reporting.
• Research and develop new communications channels and programs.
• Own and update internal communications calendar.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (B.A.) in communications, marketing, or business.
• Minimum of five years in communications and/or public relations, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling, motivating copy for team members of all levels and in all geographies including announcements, news, newsletter, and digital content.
• Marketing experience in financial services or a related industry a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and editing skills, allowing for communication across the entire organization.
• Proven ability to turn complex concepts and processes into relevant communication for different audiences.
• Experience in managing executive communications
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while consistency meeting deadlines.
• Positive, collaborative, flexible disposition; equally adept at working independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in intranet software such as Jostle, Interact, Engynn or other.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) a plus.
