We have a Maintenance Technician openings for Day or Evening Shift.

Job Summary: Responsible for performing routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repairs to all company equipment, trucks, buildings, and grounds. Keep buildings and grounds clean, remove debris, and keep areas neat and organized plus perform some metal fabrication.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance to building’s exterior/interior, plant equipment, and trucks including thoroughly cleaning equipment
• Repair plumbing leaks and handle minor electrical problems.
• Perform or assist with installation and moving of equipment and welding fabrication of equipment.
• Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other types of refinish; install or repair carpet; perform custodial duties as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance schedules.
• May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Job requirements and essential job functions include:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Prolonged use of arms and legs
• Lifting of 50 pounds occasionally and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Also twisting, bending, turning, squatting, and walking.
• Repetitive work.

Job qualifications include:

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and carpentry experience required.
• Knowledge of lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck, and other related motorized equipment.
• Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools.
• Ability to balance and achieve positive results in areas of safety, quality and, productivity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment: Typical plant environment- on the loading dock or outside the buildings, exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time; can be hot and humid inside the plant- must be aware of safety protocols and avoid injury from bumping head from low rails and injury to hands from moving parts of machinery and tools.
