Your Role:As the DSP, you will provide services to adults with developmental disabilities in a community living home and a supported apartment. You will be assisting in all areas of daily living so that each resident meets their personal goals and develops self-management and independence. This would include helping them with shopping, menu planning, traveling to appointments, building social interactions, setting goals, and going to community outings!
Responsibilities:These are the responsibilities for the position, although other duties may be assigned to meet Agency needs:
- End of Week Shift - Wed. to Fri. 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm and Sat. 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.
- Beginning of Week - Sun. 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Mon. to Wed. 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm.

- Responsible for direct care support and training for residents.
- Implements resident training programs as it relates to their personal growth and independence.
- Assists residents in accessing community resources consistent with their needs and personal choices.
- Valid drivers’ license
- Insurable driving record
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- CNA or DSP certification preferred
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
- Dependability
- Organizational skills.
- The ability to perform well with a team.
- Ability to work independently within a defined set of policies, procedures and guidelines.
