File Clerk(s) will provide assistance to Paralegals\Legal Assistants in performance of their duties including but not limited to managing mail, running copies, scanning documents, and assisting with translations as necessary. They will work under the direction an attorney, and Legal Assistant Supervisor.
No prior immigration experience required. Willing to accommodate course schedules. College student interested in entering immigration law field are encouraged to apply.
Position eligible for conversion to full-time, or promotion to Legal Assistant depending on firm needs.
Responsibilities:
· Organize and manage client files
· Digitize client documents, and court files
· Process and manage incoming and outgoing mail according to office policies
· Assist in the completion of FOIA requests, and processing responses.
· Draft templated communications to clients as required
· Drafting translations of various legal documents
· Updating internal case management systems.
· Additional assigned tasks are required.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent (International degrees will be considered.)
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work under strict legal deadlines.
· Strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks
· Must be able write and speak in Spanish and English fluently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
