We have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant for our medical office. We are in search of an energetic, friendly and helpful person to assist patients and guests. This person will be responsible for:

DUTIES:

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):

• Using computer applications
• Answering telephones
• Welcoming patients
• Updating and filing patient medical records

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

• Taking medical histories
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examination
• Assisting the physician during exams
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets
• Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
• Transmitting prescription refills as directed
• Taking electrocardiograms
• Removing sutures and changing dressings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Medical Assistant Diploma

· Minimum 2-year experience preferred

· Current CPR Card

· Good command of oral and written English language

· Knowledge of basic computer skills including Excel and Word

· Bilingual (Spanish required)

This is an urgent care position and schedule will require Saturday and afternoon availability Monday - Friday. Please only apply if this schedule works for you.
