Fortz Legal Support, LLC is Hiring a Court Reporting Production Near Grand Rapids, MI

Job description

A Production Specialist for Fortz Legal Support provides transcript production services for attorneys, law firms, and corporate clients. The right candidate will be responsible for producing and delivering legal transcripts, sometimes synched videos, preparing court reporting jobs for billing, and answering client emails and phone calls. The role of this individual will also support and assist with remote depositions through Zoom and assist with other office tasks. All members of our team are ready to help with special projects, other departments, and contribute to the tidiness of the office.

Experience proof-reading or preparing documents could be beneficial.

Positive interaction with others is necessary, but work is done primarily alone.

Our intent is for this candidate to oversee the department by reviewing and ensuring the quality of work of other contributing team members as we grow. The right person will take ownership and help propel their area in an accelerated stage of growth. The ability to guide, teach, and assist others in a respectful manner is critical. However, it will not be a managerial role.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality control of transcript packages to ensure proper order fulfillment
  • Document preparation and scanning
  • Processing printed transcripts to fulfill client orders including sorting, tabbing, binding and shipping
  • Package intake logging and internal delivery
  • Tracking assignment status on proprietary computer system and communicating with reporters
  • Interaction with other departments to resolve inquiries or assist them with their daily activities
  • Local delivery of rush packages to clients
  • Maintenance and interaction with service companies of large-scale production equipment

Educational Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Consistent, dependable, and timely attendance
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods of time
  • Office environment
  • Expected hours: 40 per week, 8:30am-5pm, with flexibility to stay later if needed – infrequent.

Hiring Process:

We will schedule a phone interview that should take 15-30 minutes. Should we both wish to move forward, we would invite you to our office for an in-person interview. You should allow for at least an hour.

Attire: Business casual, dress pants and shirt (collared or blouse; no t-shirts or sportswear), dress shoes (no tennis shoes).

Time off: Nine paid holidays and two weeks paid annually with up to 40 hours roll-over
