Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made
- Drive individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities
Requirements:
- Experience in childcare or working with individuals with autism is preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and first aid procedures
- Ability to handle conflict situations and de-escalate challenging behaviors
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility as needed
Note: Hospice care experience is not required for this position.
