Serco’s Training and Experience Program (STEP) is designed to provide undergraduate university and college students paid accredited internship opportunities to gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. Our goal is to help you build a career roadmap that provides you with challenging and rewarding learning experiences with Serco.

Serco offers internship opportunities across the following three career tracks: Business, Technical, and Engineering. Our 2024 internship opportunities are available throughout the U.S. and Canada, beginning on May 28th and concluding on August 9th, with 1 week off July 1st-5th. You will work with your manager to identify the best working schedule for you, working no more than an average of 36 hours a week with the added perk of half-days on Fridays.

Serco offers an exciting internship opportunity to join our U.S. Air Force & U. S. Space Force management team. You will provide analysis and management assistance through an innovative approach to program management by assisting in the planning and coordination of projects, business development, and proposal efforts. The U.S. Air Force & U.S. Space Force Management Analyst Intern will have unique insight into the Operations Management and Business Development of the market and will work out of one of our offices in either Herndon, VA, Warner Robins, GA, or Niceville, FL.

At Serco, we are passionate in our support for the U.S. Air Force & U. S. Space Force and assisting them in meeting their mission and objectives. Through various contracts and projects, we assist them by providing program management and business support services to enable them to make better decisions for developing, fielding, and sustaining critical warfighting capabilities.

Over the course of the summer, you will network and interface with critical business leaders to include our CEO and members of our Executive Management Team (EMT). You will report to Tim Morris [Tim Morris LinkedIn profile]. Tim Morris leads the U.S. Air Force market team with over 25 years in the Air Force and the last 10 with Serco, providing Acquisition and Program Management expertise. Tim is supported by two deputies, Tony Pisasale [Tony Pisasale LinkedIn profile] and Ray Wier [Ray Wier LinkedIn Profile] In addition, Jack Drohan [Jack LinkedIn profile] who is the Vice President of business development for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force team.

In this role, you will:

• Plan, organize and coordinate on various projects, programs, and services.
• Conduct research and data analysis on a variety of programs and business development opportunities.
• Coordinate with program managers to ensure accuracy in reporting and use of implemented systems.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, proposals, studies, and correspondence.
• Work closely with Serco Senior Leaders

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred fields of study: Business Management or a related field of study.
• Ideal candidates are rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, or Spring 2023 graduates.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

This role is also suited for the following skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work initiative and attention to detail.
