Serco North America is Hiring a Remote CNIC N6 Programmer - 100% Remote

Position Description

Are you a Programmer looking for a place where you can make a difference every day? Serco is the place for you! We have an exciting 100% remote opportunity supporting the United States Navy and our CNIC N6 program.

CNIC Regional Offices enable improving operational performance and cost reductions through business process definition, analysis, and development of technical capabilities which automate process or improve transparency for analytics and decision making. The CNIC N6 Programmer will support the development, deployment, testing, maintenance, hardening, troubleshooting and integration of various applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of a team that develops detailed program specifications, ensure the responsiveness and performance of applications across various devices and implement and maintain callable, modular, and reusable code.
  • Use Microsoft platform technologies (ASP.NET Web API) and Azure, design, build and modify existing business-tier components, Web applications, and database objects.
  • Develop applications using JavaScript full stack development (e.g. node.js and/or next.js).
  • Apply knowledge to consult the government and perform direct application development with JavaScript full stack development, APIs, GIT and other applicable tools requires for development.
  • Provide, deploy, and integrate applications in the Azure cloud platform and apply knowledge of Azure services to application development.
  • Harden the code of various applications and related databases, as appropriate, and remediate any cybersecurity vulnerability findings.
  • Provide coordination support and assist with the development of system accreditation documentation.
  • Provide operational management of the hosted application, including installation and maintenance of Government required software components.
  • Create prototypes to validate proposed ideas and solicit input from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define/clarify business requirements, estimate development costs, and finalize work plans.
  • Review and test application-level modifications on all created code.
  • Create and run unit and integration tests throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Benchmark application code proactively to prevent performance and scalability concerns.
  • Assist the Operations Team with any environmental issues that arise during application deployment in the Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Assist other teams in resolving issues that may develop because of applications or the integration of multiple components.
  • Take part in frequent Agile Scrum meetings.
  • Develop deployment guides, document configurations, and develop other application development related documents.
  • Perform configuration management of codes and supporting documents.
  • Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design/support strategy for adopting agile best practices.
  • Train users or other required, concerned individual of the system that they are supporting or system that they are providing when required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • 2 years of experience (Experience in Progamming and/or Software Development highly preferred)
  • Technical training related to Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • An up to date DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate System Administrator baseline certification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire date.
  • A valid US Passport or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $66,558.6 to $110,931.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
