Traveling Project Engineer - NC and SC

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Projects based throughout NC and SC 

Sequoia Services, a leading civil and environmental contractor, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Traveling Project Engineer to join our team for large Civil Construction Projects throughout NC and SC.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop detailed work plans.
• Review shop drawings and product submittals.
• Conduct site assessments, including environmental evaluations, to identify potential challenges and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Monitor project progress, conduct quality control checks, and maintain accurate documentation of activities.
• Work with Project Manager to write RFIs, Change Request, and Daily Reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices throughout the project.
• Provide quantity complete documentation for monthly invoices.
• Track Equipment and Man-hours to accurately reflect project cost to estimated cost.
• General layout and survey using GPS.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in Heavy Civil Construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil and environmental engineering principles and construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Working knowledge of GPS Equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
• Strong desire to work on a team and contribute to growth.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center, Agtek, AutoCAD 3D (Preferred)
• Willing to travel and/or Relocate.
