Position Summary:

Looking to hire a Full-Time Delivery Driver to join our team! Candidate must be able to drive a 16-20-foot refrigerated truck and have a good driving record. Be able to work in a physical, fast-paced environment with great customer service skills that can deliver products safely in a timely manner. Solid communication skills, a working knowledge of food product delivery and merchandizing.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a 16-20-foot refrigerated truck with a lift gate
• Loading, transporting, and delivering deli meats and cheeses to our assigned grocery chain stores
• Reviewing the invoices with the store’s receiver to verify production information match the invoices and collect proof of delivery

• Merchandise our products in specific areas of the cooler and filing display units or shelves
• Confirm customer identification, collect payment and/or delivery receipt and obtain customers’ signatures on invoices

• Follow the First In First Out method by rotating our products, removing out-of-date products and process returns/credits with the receiver
• Pull and push multiple U-boats with an estimated weight between 300–800lbs and strap them safely and neatly on the truck’s e-tracks

• Able to follow assigned route schedule in a timely manner
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Complete a post delivery truck inspection document
• Conduct daily inspections of delivery truck to ensure safety and maintenance guidelines are met
• Accurately document all vehicle movement on daily route sheets

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED or Military Service
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid California Driver's License
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy objects of 45lbs and more
• Ability to push and pull U-boats estimated weight between 300–800lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, climb ladders, push and pull heavy objects for 7 hours
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems

• Must be able to work a schedule of hours that include early morning start
• Must be able to work weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
