Job Description:

Looking to hire a Full-Time Deli Sales Merchandiser to join our team! The ideal candidate must have knowledge and passion of food with previous retail or food experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Deli Sales Merchandiser will work closely and provide support to the Deli and Store Managers to increase sales. You will provide product knowledge and educate the Deli Staff and our customers about the Boar’s Head brand of products. This position requires you to travel within our customers’ locations throughout the city of Sacramento and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

• Cutting, prepping, cooking and sampling out our brand products
• Building creative recipes to enhance product knowledge
• Making platters of cheese trays, catering trays, and holiday trays
• Work with sharp knives, industrial slicer, and cheese cutters
• Refill, reset and merchandise products for display
• Training the Deli Staff on and about the Boar’s Head Brand products
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Follow the company’s health and sanitation, safety procedure and guidelines
• Travel throughout assigned customer locations
• Effectively handle many tasks at once in a fast paced environment

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of culinary/food experience
• Outgoing personality
• The position requires standing, walking, bending, and able to lift products 20lbs and above
• Weekend and holiday work is required
• Minimum age for employment is 18
• High School diploma or GED or Military Service
• Valid California Driver's License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
