As the Facility Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratories, maintaining the safety and integrity of our facilities, and supporting our scientists and researchers in their mission to build a healthier world for everyone.

Job Description:

As a Facility Manager in the biotech industry, you will oversee all aspects of facility operations, maintenance, safety, utility management, and collaborate with the China HQ operation team to ensure the setup of procurement system and alignment with HQ operation strategy and procedures. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in ensuring that our labs are well-equipped, compliant with regulations, operate efficiently, and meet the procurement requirements set forth by the China HQ.

Responsibilities:

·Manage and optimize the overall functioning of our advanced laboratory, coordinating schedules, resources, and equipment maintenance to ensure seamless operations.

·Oversee inventory management, ensuring the availability of essential lab supplies, reagents, and equipment through timely procurement.

·Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies, policies, and procedures specific to laboratory operations, safety, utility management, and procurement in alignment with the China HQ operation strategy.

·Collaborate with the China HQ operation team to establish and implement a procurement system that meets the organization's standards and aligns with HQ procedures.

·Coordinate with utility vendors (electricity, water, HVAC, etc.) to establish service contracts, monitor consumption, and optimize utility usage while ensuring uninterrupted operations.

·Establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as biosafety guidelines, hazardous material handling, and waste management, while aligning with the China HQ operation strategy.

·Develop and manage the facility budget, including equipment purchases, maintenance contracts, utility costs, safety initiatives, and procurement expenditures in collaboration with the China HQ operation team.

·Train laboratory personnel on safe equipment operation, emergency response procedures, proper handling of hazardous materials, and compliance with the procurement system requirements established by the China HQ.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics).

·At least 10 years of experience in facility management, specifically within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on laboratory operations, safety, and utility management.

·In-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment and lab waste disposal.

·Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in laboratory safety, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.

·allocate resources effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, utility providers, and regulatory authorities.

·Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

·Ability and willingness to communicate and interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams in both China and the U.S.

·Bilingual in Mandarin is preferred.
