OVERALL DESCRIPTION
In a temporary status, perfroms takes related to analyses and the harvesting of video and other data evidence from systems, reports and other documents by the Legal Division in support of the Authority's position of defense against claims/litigation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs analyses and support activities relevant to Video Evidence Unit (VEU) goals and program/project assignmenys and objectives.
2. Executes the search initation, video content review entering into video retrieval database, copying to DVD, and cataloging/storing of identified video of interest from Legal's division's fixed and mobile video systems View Stations; or when required, by field-side visitation and retrievak from target locations/vehicles throughout the Authority's property, or contractor facilties.
3. Performs tasks related to analyses including but not limited to the ongoing development and population of spreadsheets and databases, the identification and reporting of related VEU performance, resource utilization, production and trendindices, and other ad hoc management reporting assignments.
4. Conducts electonic and manual methos search and captures of data related to previously reported or unreported incidents - otherwise known as "Tracers", and used for SEPTA's defense against unreported and/or fraudulent claims.
5. Complies with and facilties all internal policies, procedures and matters of applicable law as it relates to the professional and ethical use of eveidencl; specifically video technology and associcated intellecual property, its capture, retention, storage and preservation methods and practices.
6. Assists in coordination of, and conducts operational/report analyses training in support of other VEU assigned personnel/contractors.
7. Participates in the montioring of VEU systems performance, other in-house agency and third party support compliance requirements and expectations.
8. Proactively monitor Control Center/Police communications systems and daily reports as a search initiation tool, in advance of formal video capture request.
9. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree plus three (3) years of demonstrated supervisory, analytical or administrative work experience required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e., two (2) years of relevant experience to one (1) year of formal post high school education) may be considered in lieu of the above listed requirements.
• Prior experience in a video environment, which includes video retrieval storage and analysis preferred.
• Basic to intermediate PC skills required in Microsoft Office Suite - WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK, required. Experience with SEPTA mainframe, Mobile View, Fleet Manager applications preferred.
• Understanding of basic business relationships and confidentiality principles. Demonstrated experience working with confidential issues and material in a discreet manner is required.
• Must possess excellent oral and written skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a diverse, demanding environment. Excel and writing skills, to include grammar, punctuation and spelling required.
• Exactness and attention to detail in reviewing/preparing records and reports, avoidance of errors required.
• Annual execution of confidentiality agreement required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Transportation operational experience preferred.
• Ability to work alone which includes field-site visitations and retrieval assignments.
• A review of work record, attendance and performance will be part of the screening, interview, and selection process.
• Must be able to workday or night shifts, weekends and holidays.
