SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVE:

Ideal candidate will be prepared to learn Sentry’s standard for all aspects of electrical installation including but not limited to: wire-way, wire and cable pulls and wire terminations, reading and understanding detailed schematics, mounting sensors and disconnects, troubleshooting system issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by daily sweeping and general cleaning.
• Performs pre-wiring of motors, photo eyes, sensors, and terminates wiring at the control panel.
• Performs electrical start-up and troubleshooting as required.
• Notifies supervisor of any unusual conditions of material, drawings, parts, and shop equipment.
• Meets acceptable time/work standards.
• Works in accordance with established safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPENTENCY:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Position typically expects one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience based on scope of the position
• Willing and able to work overtime as required
• Possess problem solving capabilities, with a sense of urgency
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Must have a positive attitude, foster a continuous improvement environment and work well with others

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: None

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Temperature controlled work environment inside, minimal noise (no hearing protection needed), eye protection required at all times inside shop.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., ability to drive a forklift
