Retail Sales Consultant / Product Specialist

We are looking for "people who like people;" who want to make a friend along with a customer; who want to do business with integrity; who want each customer of ours to buy two cars -- this one, and the next one.
The Sentry Auto Group is looking for one Sales Consultant and one Product Specialist for Sentry Ford and Sentry Lincoln on Rt. 16 in Medford.
The Product Specialist role is more of an entry-level position - your job is to present our products to customers and answer their questions but do not handle any transactional details such as pricing or appraisals. Sales Consultants will handle all of the steps in the sales process.
For both roles, we will consider candidates with and without automotive experience. If you do not have automotive experience, you ideally would need to have some experience in either sales or retail, as our business encompasses elements of both. Another area where we have had successful sales consultants come from is the restaurant and hotel business. It also helps if you like cars -- you don't need to be a technical expert, but you do need to enjoy learning about cars and sharing what you've learned.
But above all... you have to like people. If your ideal job is to be in a cubicle and keep to yourself all day.... this isn't the job for you.
Recent college graduates also are encouraged to apply. In recent years we have had successful applicants from a number of area colleges and universities, including Northeastern, Quinsigamond, BU, BC, Bentley, Babson, and Stonehill. We promote from within whenever possible and a number of our managers were recent college graduates who hired in as salespeople and were promoted.
Our Medford store is in a state of the art facility on busy Rt. 16 with high traffic counts. We enjoy very high customer satisfaction and repeat business. From an inventory standpoint, in addition to a huge new Ford and Lincoln inventory, you also have the ability to sell from two dealerships' worth of used vehicles and new Mazdas from our Mazda location.
Responsibilities and Duties
Help customers in all steps of their purchase process.
Communicate clearly internally and externally.
Work hard, be professional and friendly, and sell every customer two cars -- this one, and their next one!
