Responsibilities

Sentinel is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our client. The Senior Network Engineer has a primary responsibility for the full data network life cycle, including design, implementation, and support. This role will be responsible for new and existing network components, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), WiFi, internet, intranets, and other data communications systems including firewalls, IPS/IDS and load-balancers.This is a direct hire and this role will require travel to both data centers in Dearbon, MI and Flint, Mi. This position may require this candidate to be on call and work weekends if necessary. This is a hybrid role reporting to our client in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in computer science or related field
• CCNP or CCDP certification required
• 5 years of experience in related field
• Experience with Cisco Router/Switches is required
• Experience with designing enterprise network solutions both on prem and cloud is required
• Experience with Azure is required
• Palo Alto Firewall experience is preferred
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate good communication skills
• Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
• A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
