Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Day Shift Registered Dietitian for the Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab Program.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Certification Required
• Registered Dietitian (RD) Certification Required
• BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Dietetics Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
• 2 years Dietitian Experience

Responsible for managing patient's medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards for high-risk patients. Serves as a resource for nutrition education. Will provide one-on-one consults, teaching, and cooking demonstrations! This position will teach cooking Demonstrations along with teaching course materials and meet with patients 1-1.
Board Certified Specialist in one of the recognized ADA/NATCO/NBNSC specialty certifications: Cert Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Renal Nutrition (CSR); Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP); Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG); Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO), Certified Sports Dietitian (CSSD) and Certified Clinical Transplant Dietitian (CCTD). If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
