Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia!

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 Offered for qualified candidates!

Status: Part-time (16 hours)

Work hours: Rotating shift and will work two 8 hour shifts per week below, 1 weekday and 1 weekend shift:

• 6:30am to 3pm

• 7am to 330pm

• 12:30 to 9pm

• 2:30pm to 11pm

Job responsibilities:

Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

• Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred

• Prior hospital experience preferred
