Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy IV Technician for Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia!

Sign-On Bonus up to $5,000 offered to qualified candidates!

Status: Full Time, 36-hours

Shift: Rotating Shift (primarily first shift/dayshift) including weekends.

Four 8 hour shifts one week and five 8 hours shifts the second week (average of 36 hours/week). Starts at 5am, 6am, 7am and 8am for 8.5 hours with 30 min break

Weekends are required and have an every 3rd weekend rotation. Starts at 6am for 8.5 hours with 30 min break OR 10.5 hours with 30 min break.

Only coverage for evening shift as needed (starts at 230pm for 10 hours)

NO coverage for night shift.

Job responsibilities:

Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy. Performs all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II positions.

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED

• Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board(PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED

• 3-months IV Room experience REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications:

• CSPT Preferred
