Sentara Health is currently hiring several Environmental Service Technicians (Housekeeping) and one Environmental Service Technician III (Floor Tech) for our Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk, Virginia.

Job Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent/​1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School/GED Diploma

• Required: Communication, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking

Positions Overview:

As an Environmental Services Technician with Sentara, you will be working around patients in housekeeping. This position's primary duties include cleaning the patients' rooms, hallways, and any spills. You will also have the option to be cross trained in other areas. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

The Environmental Service Tech III with Sentara is responsible for the maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment, and cleaning applications to include mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to EST I competencies to provide cleaning duties when necessary.
