Synerfac is seeking a HR Generalist for our client in Virginia Beach, VA. Our client provides on site power integration for large scale centers.
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Handles employment
-related matters involving employees and leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Ability to take witness statements for complaints/policy violations
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Some examples of this compliance includes, but is not limited to, ensuring receipt of I
-9 forms on all new hires and as well as documenting recordable accidents on the company OSHA log.
- Ensures non
-exempt timecards are accurate and complete (no missing punches) and approves all timecards on time.
- 4 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Thorough knowledge of employment
-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
