Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director, Venture and Innovation
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: Hybrid position that also offers a Remote option. Travel to on-site locations as necessary to facilitate successful venture and innovation initiatives. Talent Acquisition Specialist will be happy to discuss work scheduling options.
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Position Summary:
The Director, Venture and Innovation will be responsible for working with the Senior Director, Venture & Innovation on Sentara’s strategic growth and innovation initiatives, and partnership opportunities.
The Director will be asked to lead business planning processes with cross-functional leadership teams, lead the vetting and solution design for innovation opportunities, and extract and share the embedded intelligence within Sentara’s strategic healthcare investment portfolio.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
•Support the Sr. Director of Venture & Innovation in implementing new venture and innovation infrastructure and processes for Sentara Health
•Lead business case vetting and business planning processes with Sentara leadership for new, enterprise innovation opportunities
•Lead enterprise level venture and innovation initiatives from planning through implementation
•Produce business opportunity assessments including opportunity mapping, operation and financial modeling, and market research for senior leadership to allow better understanding of actionable opportunities and emerging healthcare innovations
•Develop and maintain relationships with key internal operational and strategic leaders to prioritize and facilitate innovation and incubation opportunities
•Lead solution design and implementation for new models of care and consumer engagement models
•Produce consumable research reports including primers, white papers, and company analysis in areas of healthcare innovation that can be distributed to key stakeholders within Sentara
•Facilitate introduction of innovative ideas and companies to leaders within Sentara while ensuring introductions are relevant to business needs
