Role Description: Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of cyber systems and networks. Supports cyber security initiatives through both predictive and reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership and staff. Uses data collected from cyber defense tools (firewalls, IDS, traffic, etc.) to analyze events that occur within the environments or based on the artifacts. Employs network forensics techniques for attack reconstruction. Job responsibilities may include: Security Alerting Response, Workflow Management Input, Data Analysis & Correlation, Incident Handling (coordination of resources and response efforts), Threat Classification, Critical Incident Escalation, Mitigation Coordination and embracing defined SOC operational and functional policies and procedures.
