As a QC Supervisor you will supervise and participate in laboratory work necessary to assure that products tested meet Sensient Colors, FDA and International standards and supervise the activities of the QC team.
What You'll Do:

• Ensure that work is carried out in an efficient and safe manner. Utilize judgment in making adaptation and modifications on all assignments. Lead a team of QC Technicians, mentor and develop young chemists and advance the quality and safety of products produced.
• Prioritize and drive process improvement initiatives throughout the organization to achieve plant level KPI's. Lead formal Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Design, conduct & analyze measurement systems analysis (Gage R&R). Develop method R&D statement.
• Work with R&D to establish specifications on new products. Formulate & analyze the design of experiments for method improvement. Ensure laboratory standards are properly prepared and laboratory notebooks are up to date.
• Supervise the activities of the QC team, set priorities based on goals and objectives for the departments. Coach team members on performance, completes employee performance reviews, makes merit recommendations, and participates in recruitment.

What you'll Bring:

• A degree in Chemistry with at least 5-years of strong Analytical Chemistry (Chemistry, Biochemistry).
• Certification in Six Sigma or related methodology preferred. Experienced in developing, implementing and validating methods.
• 5-years minimum of Quality Control & Product Safety experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment. Operations background or experience is preferred.
