Senox has a new opening for a Cost Accountant to join our awesome Finance Department.

The cost accountant will work closely with the finance, manufacturing and product departments to identify and analyze manufacturing costs. A large emphasis will be placed on data-driven reporting using the company’s ERP System to effectively review, audit and update production and overhead costs on a routine basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze manufacturing costs (raw materials, labor, burden) across multiple manufacturing plants and production departments
  • Prepare reports comparing actual cost of production vs standard cost
  • Review, audit and close manufacturing jobs in ERP system on a daily basis
  • Work closely with manufacturing department to resolve discrepancies on manufacturing jobs
  • Perform monthly cost rollups to update standard costs of manufactured goods
  • Analyze and report on any changes in in manufacturing costs
  • Prepare and complete internal cost audits
  • Recommend changes to company’s processes to reduce cost and maximize profit
  • Perform routine WIP reconciliation
  • Provide management with reports that compare factors that affect prices and profitability

SKILLS & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Superior knowledge of financial reporting tools and ERP Software (Epicor ERP a plus)
  • Strong communication skills / ability to work as part of a team
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
  • 4-6 years cost accounting work experience with an emphasis on manufacturing accounting
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (bill of materials, assemblies, production rates)

Pay: $84,927.00 per year
