Excellent Grant Funded 1 year Opportunity with Community Services!

SeniorsPlus has an immediate opening for a full time, 40 hours/week, position in our Community Services Department. The Community Ambassador is responsible for implementing and overseeing a community initiative program funded through the FMAP/ARPA project, known as the Community Connections Pilot Program within Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin Counties.

The position seeks to enhance and build effective relationships and partnerships with Age Friendly/Lifelong Communities and municipalities in the region to more effectively connect Mainers with the supports and services they need.

This is a 12-month funded position with the opportunity to work with partners to seek sustainable funding.

Responsibilities

• The position is dedicated to bridging communications
• Responds to and initiates referrals
• Provides navigation support and resource-sharing between and among the Agencies on Aging and the Community Connector pilot sites
• Strengthens relationships with other Lifelong communities and municipalities in the AAAs’ respective Planning and Service Area (PSA)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Adult Education, Gerontology, Public Administration, Business or related field required
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or eligible for licensure preferred
• Experience in project management, community organizing and engagement, presentation and public speaking, and knowledge of aging issues and the aging network preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
