Seniors Helping Seniors Chicago NW is Hiring a Caregiver Near Northbrook, IL

Everyday is different for a Companion Sitter. Our caregivers are offered a variety of staffing assignments in local facilities and are responsible for providing quality healthcare to each patient in adherence with all applicable laws, regulations and policies.

Caregiver Qualifications:We are looking for a caring home services worker to support physically or mentally challenged customers in their everyday lives. The fulfillment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job. If you’re a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to work independently, then this is a job for you. We are looking for caregivers that are polite and good communicators. Experience in caring for older adults will make you a strong candidate.

List of Possible Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients receive their medication on time
  • Support clients who need assistance moving on their own
  • Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
  • Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
  • Cook meals according to the client’s restrictions
  • Help clients with their shopping
  • Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
  • Provide emotional support
  • Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as home care services worker
  • Committed to health & safety
  • Able to do housework and cooking
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Positive and compassionate attitude
  • Strong ethics
  • Physical stamina
  • TB Test (REQUIRED)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license or valid Identification card (REQUIRED)

● Successfully complete a Health Care Worker Registry Background Check

Physical Requirements:

Some periods of sitting.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
