Seniors Helping Seniors (Orange and Osceola Counties) is hiring an experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide Personal Care (assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, toileting, eating, etc.). We hire mature adults (50 ) to be our HHA caregivers because we believe that mature caregivers understand our clients’ needs and values and build meaningful relationships with them. We offer flexible hours - choose your schedule. Whether you want to work 4 hours a week or 40, we are here to support you by giving you an opportunity to help seniors while earning income and maintaining your lifestyle and hobbies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of the Home Health Aide include, but are not limited to the following:
○ Bathing
○ Grooming, including oral care
○ Assist the client with dressing and undressing
○ Assist the client with toileting activities
○ Assist in feeding the client, if necessary
○ Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves
○ Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure)
○ Measure and record height and weight, if necessary.
○ Support good skin care to prevent skin breakdown (i.e. turn and reposition
client, actively encourage movement)
○ Assist client with active and passive range of motions as defined by the plan of
care
○ Provide client with help walking and transferring
○ Observe client’s physical, mental and emotional conditions.
○ Measure and document intake and output, if necessary
○ Assist client in the self-administration of medication (medication reminder)
○ Perform light housekeeping
○ Perform meal preparation and clean up
○ Change bed linens and make up the client’s bed
○ Drive client to and from doctor appointments, run errands, etc. if needed
