Purchasing and Inventory Manager

• The Purchasing-Inventory Manager must hold a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration or Materials Management.
• Must have extensive experience in supply chain and managing all purchasing activities and vendor negotiations for an organization.
• Must have 5 years’ experience in Purchasing and Materials Management.
• Must have strong organizational skills, negotiation skills, inventory planning, and 2 years of leadership experience.
• Must be proficient in computers and Excel.
• The Purchasing-Inventory Manager must be willing to work onsite, flexible in schedule and willing to travel, as needed.

Hickory, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

The Purchasing-Inventory Manager reports to Chief Operating Officer

• Must be responsible for all negotiations with vendors regarding pricing, discounts, freight, PO system compliance, budgets etc.
• Must lead purchasing strategies, develop and maintaining rapport with internal stakeholders, company executives, suppliers and vendors
• Must partner with Operations, Finance and Maintenance teams
• The Purchasing-Inventory Manager must manage a team of purchasing coordinators, review and manage inventory spend down, maintain par levels and delivery schedules for all locations.
• Ensure delivery schedules are maintained on a constant basis and train communities on purchasing procedures.
