Senior Living Residences is Hiring a Programming Assistant (Activities) Near Canton, MA
Have you ever coached a team, facilitated a program, or worked as a group leader? This may be the role for you! Cornerstone at Canton, in Canton, MA is seeking a patient, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, compassionate and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing programs for our residents.
Part Time (weekends)
Rates start at $17 per hour

- Form meaningful relationships with residents and families;
- Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily programming schedule for 7 days per week;
- Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors;
- Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site
- Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred. Must have 1 years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
- Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
- Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
- Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
