Position Overview:

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for helping seniors live independently and comfortably in their own homes? Senior Helpers is seeking enthusiastic Caregivers who are committed to enhancing the lives of our clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care Assistance: Provide clients with assistance in activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Companionship and Engagement: Build meaningful relationships through conversation, recreational activities, and social outings to keep clients mentally and emotionally engaged.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of each client.
• Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their prescribed medications on schedule.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Help clients move safely within their homes and assist with transfers to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental health to family members and healthcare professionals.
• Transportation and Errands: Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities, ensuring clients remain connected to their community.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare field preferred
• Must have a sympathetic attitude towards the cares and dignity of our clients
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish positive relationships
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks as required by the client
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of car insurance
