Summary

Senior Connections provides comprehensive mental health care services for Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation centers across Washington State since 1998.

We are looking for Psychologists to join our team to work in a a number of locations across Washington State. Each Psychologist position is assigned to a specific area and if travel is involved it is local to the immediate area where the position is located. We are looking for Psychologists who are looking to make a difference in the lives of the people living in nursing home settings by offering mental health and behavioral health interventions.

We believe that every person deserves to be understood. This is the central component of our services. It fosters the development of bonding relationships which can be generalized by the residents we serve to enhance social relationships and support in their day to day lives. We use a variety of empirically validated approaches within an individual therapy format to work towards accomplishing each resident’s treatment goals. Residents and treatment team staff consistently report that residents receiving Senior Connections services have experienced increased quality of life. The people we serve come first.

Geropsychology experience is not a requirement as child psychologists and inpatient psychologists possess the skills to make the transition easily as well. We offer training for all staff to serve our specific population equipping you with the mental health skills that you need to succeed in our behavioral health setting.

The Psychologist's role is to offer:

• Direct patient mental health services to a medically compromised, underserved population and to provide occasional consultation to facility staff.

The services will be provided at facilities in the the following areas in Washington

• Vancouver

We also have an opening for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the Vancouver area at this time.

Duties:

• Performing psychotherapy, diagnostic intake interviews, treatment plan development, and brief consultation with facility staff.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

• PhD or PsyD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Washington.
• Must qualify for Medicare and insurance participation and for professional liability insurance.
• Experience providing psychotherapy in a mental health setting (e.g., child adolescent, inpatient, geropsychiatric, etc.).
