Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in their homes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and stability of clients.
- Utilize first aid skills when necessary and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Utilize driving skills to transport individuals to appointments, outings, and activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding when working with individuals with Alzheimer's and memory care needs.
- Provide direct support with activities such as using a Hoyer lift and behavior management.
- Utilize relevant skills such as cleaning, familiarity with EMR systems, and social work principles in daily caregiving tasks.
