Position Description
The Marketing Shift Manager is responsible forsupervising the day-to-day operations of the Promotions department and overseesmotor coach arrivals, distributes group packages; records guest head counts,handles problems with guests or group leaders. Assists staff in issuing guest accounts, and the like, in an accurateand professional manner, developing, coordinating, and implementing aspects andactivities of promotions, ensure staff is knowledgeable and follows companyinternal controls, policies and procedures. This position requires direct supervision of all departmental employeeswhich include training and evaluating. The Shift Manager requires a high attention to detail, oral and phonecommunication skills, and a strong customer service orientation. This position assumes all administrativeaspects of promotions department, including bus operations. All duties are to beperformed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies andprocedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. Eachposition has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may bewaived.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience: 1.Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. 2.High school diploma or its equivalency required. 3.Three (3) years previous customer service experience required. Marketing gaming experience preferred. 4.Prior supervisory experience preferred. 5.Management / Leadership Proficiency required. 6.Accounting & computer competency. 7.Previous telemarketing experience preferred. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability: 1.Must possess excellent communication skills. 2.Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. 3.Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. 4.Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud.
