We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst with expertise in statistical analysis to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques, with specific experience in government accounting. This role will involve working closely with various teams to analyze financial data, generate insights, and support decision-making processes within the organization. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating comparative analysis of multiyear datasets, utilizing statistical techniques to derive meaningful conclusions in the context of government accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, clean, and analyze multiyear financial data from various government sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Conduct comparative analysis of financial performance across different accounting departments, programs, or fiscal years.
* Develop statistical models to assess the significance of differences in financial metrics and outcomes within the framework of government accounting principles.
* Collaborate with stakeholders in government offices to define project objectives, data requirements, and analytical methodologies.
* Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior government officials and other stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
* Due to the nature of the contract, a US. citizenship is required.
* Active Public Trust clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred (8-10 years of directly related experience may be substituted for educational requirement).
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Military Health System (MHS) policy and regulations.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) experience is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
* Proven experience in financial data analysis, statistical modeling, and quantitative research, preferably in the context of government accounting.
* 3-5 years of direct experience with statistical software such as SAS, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to communicate with senior officials (military and civilian) in both verbal and written form.
