Soft is Hiring a Project Analyst Near Buffalo, NY

SOFT's client is looking for an Associate Project Analyst for a long term contract assignment. The selected candidate may work from offices in Albany, Syracuse or Buffalo. This is a hybrid position with 2 to 3 days per week in the office.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage accurate schedules for early stage, long term projects and programs in alignment with the investment and/or business plans.
  • Responsible for accurate project resourcing based on required project documentation received from Engineering/Asset.
  • Update project schedules, budgets and forecasts as required throughout the project lifecycle, particularly in support of portfolio, investment and/or business planning.
  • Manage the closeout phase of projects and programs, working with stakeholders to resolve finance challenges and the reconciliation process.
  • Provide general analytical support to Project Managers as needed based on the needs of the business.
  • Attend project meetings and work with team members on project activities.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to implement project management best practices.
  • Manage expected project completion dates in the organization’s Work Management System.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in one of the following or related fields: Business, Program Management, Project Management, Project Controls or Data Analytics. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders to solve problems in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must.
  • Experience with budget and forecasting processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in PowerPlan and/or P6 preferred.
  • Ability to travel across Upstate NY as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
