Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the incumbent assists in the operational functions for Hard Rock Live including: Staffing of all events in Hard Rock Live, VIP services, guest services, event day operation, hiring/training/supervising team members. Will be responsible for overseeing guest needs as well as team member needs to develop strategies that will maximize productivity and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists in developing plans to support the VIP guest strategy that will create lasting memories for all involved.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and administer the daily operations of VIP services to ensure quality standards, services, and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate staffing and logistics for all VIP packages.
  • Develop relationships with other departments to quickly respond to VIP guests’ requests.
  • Ensure that all guest complaints are resolved, and expectations have been exceeded.
  • Monitor team member performance and develop strategies and services to maximize performance.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Hire, train, and coach team members for continued success.
  • Assists in developing operating and staffing budgets.
  • Assists in developing appropriate event planning as required.
  • Assists in preparing event Operations settlements for all events.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Assists in overseeing and implementing Cost control methods.
  • Assists in developing and implementing a recruiting program for seasonal and full-time staff.
  • Ability to read and comprehend industry periodicals and write detailed reports, memos, or letters.
  • Ability to prepare financial and/or staffing budgets.
  • Must possess strong communications and presentations skills.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in unique situations.
  • Required to become proficient with department specific computer programs.
  • Performs all duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred as well as 2-3 years in the entertainment industry. Over one year of experience in facilities maintenance preferred. A significant amount of supervisory experience also desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
