Position Summary:

The Sales Operations Manager will lead sales operations of our Trailer Sales facility. Hands on leader dedicated to the hustle required to succeed as a small business. You should be a high-energy person who is not afraid of getting involved in the operation and willing to pull the long hours when needed. Supports and coordinates with 5-6 Equipment Sales Managers. Oversees sales operations including buying and selling of equipment (trailers), coordinating equipment marketing plans, and coordinating required delivery and maintenance of equipment. Plans, manages, and implements schedules to ensure deadlines are met, and maintains high standards in support of buy and sell activities. The Sales Operations Manager co-manages the branch with the Branch Operations Manager.

Major Objectives:

  • Manages the growth and success of the team
  • Coordinates activities that affect sales decisions and business requirements
  • Collaborates with various departments to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure smooth and timely execution
  • Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
  • Consistent focus on minimizing cost and maximizing profitability
  • Manages inventory optimization, ensuring that buy and sell opportunities are maximized.
  • Ensures the sales managers have time and resources to deliver results based on internal and external customer needs
  • Coordinates paperwork and title exchange required for each transaction
  • Communicates effectively to internal and external customers
  • Provides guidance to employees
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area compliant with OSHA and company regulation and policy.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Critical Thinking; Prior Transportation and/or Managerial Experience Preferred; Highly Organized; Scheduling and Planning Skills Required; Understanding of Inventory Management Systems; Ability to Manage Time and Workload Effectively; Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal; Leadership Skills; Ability to Work in a Team Environment; Strong Problem Solving Skills; Strong Attention to Detail; Ability to Engage and Motivate Others; Drive to Achieve Results

Benchmarks:

  • Progressive leadership experience in transportation or dealer industry
  • 3 years management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred concentration in Business or Marketing
  • Stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
  • Experience in a small business environment
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and be comfortable with fast moving change

We also serve the commercial storage industry with ISO Shipping containers, Domestic Shipping containers, Ground-level Storage Containers, Storage trailers, Office Containers and Modified Containers. We operate nationwide as well as globally with equipment parking and sales remarketing centers in Dallas, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia.
