We are searching for a Software Engineer to join our FAA Air Traffic Organization support team in Egg Harbor Township NJ, responsible for software design, development, maintenance, testing, and interface of software with computer hardware systems.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in Linux/Unix, Bash/Perl, and some database experience with Oracle/SQL. The candidate should also have experience in requirements derivation and traceability.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain software applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software features

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

- Troubleshoot and debug software issues

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering

Requirements:

- Strong experience in Linux/Unix and Bash/Perl

- Some database experience with Oracle/SQL

- Experience in requirements derivation and traceability

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

- Experience in Python, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/Node.js

- GIS background, especially with ESRI products

- Experience in system maintenance and monitoring

- Familiarity with FAA regulations

Optional:

- Knowledge of design patterns and Agile methodologies

- Experience in DevOps

- Experience in geo data processing and transformation

- Experience in data warehouse/lake

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or other related discipline, 8 years of experience and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. This position may require some travel (approx. 10-15-%).
