We are looking for an outstanding Orientation & Mobility Specialist for an awesome opportunity with an incredible school program in the Ashburn, VA area for the 2024-2025 school year!

Some basic duties include:

• Consult with agencies and staff for the purpose of supporting mobility needs of students.
• Counsel parents for the purpose of working with and supporting mobility needs of students.
• Develop IEPs for the purpose of planning an appropriate program for students.
• Evaluate students for the purpose of identifying orientation and mobility needs and to determine whether IEP objectives have been met.
• Provide instruction for the purpose of assisting visually impaired students to move about independently in school and in the community.

Requirements:

• Active O&M Specialist License in Virginia
• At least 1 year of O&M Specialist experience, preferably in a school setting
