Overview of Expectations: The Payroll and Accounting Specialist position is a full-time on-site position. This position works closely with our HR & Accounting Team. As a Payroll Specialist, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. As an Accounting Specialist this position will work closely with the accounting team regarding commissions, job costing and other accounting related responsibilities.

A few of the duties Include:

• Process weekly payroll
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies by investigating and resolving any issues or errors
• Generate payroll reports for management review and analysis
• Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll submissions including payroll taxes and W-2 preparation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (occasional may include multistate payroll)
• Ensure accurate employee data is maintained in the payroll system
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practice
• Provide weekly Commission and Job Cost reports.

Successful Candidates will have:

A minimum of 5 years of Progressive Payroll (including multi-state) experience

Strong knowledge of payroll and accounting processes and procedures

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Proficient analytical skills for reviewing and analyzing payroll reports.

Knowledge of technical accounting concepts related to payroll processing.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees regarding payroll and accounting inquiries.

Tech Savvy. Experience with Acumatica Payroll is a bonus but not required.

Prevailing Wage experience preferred but not required.
