Associate Attorney - Hybrid – General Litigation (IL) in our Chicago office with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience. The primary focus will be on commercial litigation (contract disputes, fraud, statutory violations, and business torts), intellectual property litigation, product liability, professional liability, life sciences, employment law, and technology and cybersecurity matters. The attorney holding this position will be responsible for managing case files, legal research, preparing legal documents, investigating facts, and attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Qualified candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent writing and research skills, and proven ability to analyze sophisticated and complex factual and legal issues. They need to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently on smaller matters, but also within a team structure on larger ones. Courtroom, motion, and deposition experience required, and trial experience preferred. Experience in state and federal courts and with alternative dispute resolution is also desirable. Illinois bar license required. Additional licenses a plus, particularly in jurisdictions where the firm maintains offices and California.
