SEEM Collaborative is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Near Stoneham, MA

SEEM Collaborative's Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is seeking to fill the position of Speech Language Pathologist.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, public school certification and licensed in Massachusetts to practice. May be in the process of completing clinical fellowship year under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist.

CCC-SLP or CF-SLP credential requirement with experience in language, speech and auditory development of children with hearing loss preferred. 

Scope of duties:

  • Evaluates students’ speech and language needs and develops goals and objectives to be considered as part of the IEP process in written evaluation reports.
  • Delivers speech and language services within an integrated therapies approach, when possible, with ongoing consultation with classroom staff.
  • Consults with the student’s caregivers as deemed necessary by the program principal/executive director.
  • Attends IEP meetings and other meetings as deemed necessary by the program principal/executive director.
  • Provides written progress reports at least on a quarterly basis and otherwise as required.
  • Conducts testing as part of speech language assessments and re-evaluations.
  • Attends integrated therapy planning sessions as required by the administrative team.
  • May be required to supervise fellow therapists during clinical fellowship year.
  • Willingness to participate in on-site sign language tranining is required.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull or lift approximately 40 lbs. 
  • Must have the ability to move quickly from standing to floor and floor to standing.
  • Other duties as assigned by the executive director.

Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
