We are seeking dedicated candidates eager to learn a new trade and grow with our stable well-established company. You will be trained in plastic fabrication and welding. Overtime is available but never required. Our shop is clean, bright, and organized. The shift is Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the operation of thermoplastic fabrication equipment. This position is typically assigned to fabricate orders that are less complex in nature.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, schematic diagrams, and shop orders/jobs to determine appropriate set-up, production method, and sequence of operation.
· Select, position, and secure any cutters or fixtures required in the welding process.
· Inspect and measure work to ensure products are within print specification.
· Fabricate thermoplastic items per production order and computer-aided design (CAD) print associated with item.
· Understand and meet quality goals and expectations.
· Adhere to all company standards and policies.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
· Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to read CAD prints.
· Understanding of all tools, gages, and other various instruments used to check production parts.
· Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
· Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills.

· Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
· Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
· Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing/production setting.
